JANUARY Basler have visitors! An abandoned litter of four, one day old Patterdale pups are staying with us. It's great fun seeing the difference between a hound litter and a terrier one.
2011
DECEMBER my first ever cuddle of a Griffon Fauve pup courtesy of Jean MacDonald-Ulliot (Hibeck) from the first ever litter born in the UK. A great fun day, thank you Jean (and Moose and Mia of course), hopefully it will be the first Griffon cuddle of many more, what's not to like? A Fauve in big!
OCTOBER Mochras Melchior (Attley's son owned/bred by Liz Thornton) was BIS/CC at the Club Champion Show, Attley's daughter Glenda was RBB/RCC and Ocean's son Chyton Dauphin was RBD/RCC. A great day for Basler sires!
AUGUST/SEPTEMBERAttley BOB at Paignton and his daughter Glenda BB, Mochras Melchior (Attley's son owned/bred by Liz Thornton) was RBD. Attley and Glenda were also RBD and RBB at Birmingham National. Attley also did the Champ stakes at both shows, placing 4th and 3rd.
We would also like to send congratulations to Petra Glover and Birgit Sievers on Artep Firecracker (Basler Viking at Artep X Brevelay Maid in England for Artep) gaining her Dutch Junior Champion title at 11 months.
JULY We
have been very quiet for the last few months, this is because Ruth took time out to have a baby. All the dogs have had a break from showing too, but Heidi did manage to nip to France for the Club Show, where Attley got graded Excellent and a 5th in the Champ class. A great result in the home country of the breed.
2010
NOVEMBER Congratulations to Graham Wadey and Michelle who took 2 of their Fauves to the Hunting Aptitude test. Both passed. One was Ch Brequest Bailee Basler's mum, Ch Zibban's Golden Dream for Sweetdean With Brequest.
OCTOBER Glenda has been to 2 shows, Best Puppy at Darlington and Best Puppy and Best Bitch at Driffield under breed expert Tricia Turton.
JULY Bertie gets the RCC at Welsh kennel Club from Junior dog class. Now he has his stud book number! He also has 4 reserve Green Stars from a recent trip to Ireland. Well done Rita and Bertie. Bertie has now returned to France to enjoy the sun.

APRIL Both Bertie and Attley have passed the official Schweisshund Hunting Appitude tests, the only two Fauves in the UK to have done so.

DECEMBER Attley joint Top Fauve 2009 according to Dog World. He is also very proud of his first litter.
OCTOBER Attley BOB at Midland Counties and gained his 4th CC
AUGUST Congratulations to Petra Glover and Basler Viking (AKA Rufus) for their RCC at Houndshow Champ under breed specialist Jean Macdonald. Also congratulations to Ocean's son Chyton Dauphin owned by the Holdsworths who was Best Veteran.

Attley BOB at Southern Counties and shortlisted in the group
MAY Attley became a Champion, gaining his 3rd CC at Bath under Mr N Bryce-Smith, he got all his CCs with BOB. He and his sister Pheobe (Brequest Brettany Avec Rangali) gained their Irish Champion titles together. Attley's Green Stars all came with BOB.

2008
Basler Princess Smartypants/Dido, passed away on the 7th Nov aged 10 due to a very rare tumour in her chest, she leaves a big hole in our lives.
Attley's wins over the year include BIS at Club Champ and the Open Show.
2 CCs (both with BOB), 1 RCC, a total of 8 BOB at UK Champ shows, 4 BOB at Irish Champs with a Group 2 and a Group 3. 5 Green Stars, 2 CACIB.

Finesse Via Shiroblam the first UK Fauve Champion. (Owned and Bred by Tricia) and to Lynn Wadey breeder of Brevelay Born To Run the first UK male Champ (owned by Wadey, Bloman and Robertson).
2006
CC STATUS. The Kennel Club has announced that from Crufts 2007 Fauves will now have CC status. This means we can have UK Champions. The first CCs will be at Crufts, Birmingham, SKC, Welsh Kennel Club, The Hound Association and the club show in 2007.
2005
NVCH NJCH NUCH REGAL DU RALLYE ST PAUL
Ocean's son is now a TRIPLE CHAMPION after less than 12 months in Norway. Congratulations to Astdalen Kennel. Regal's sister Rosie DRSP is already a French Champion and was the top winning Basset Fauve in France 2002 ('Vos Chiens').

PIVVY (Beautravait Privett de Basler) our Basset Bleu de Gascogny very sadly passed away earlier this month at the tender age of 6 years. She just lay down on the sofa one evening and failed to get up the following morning. A lovely way to go but she will be missed. We have no other Bleu's at the moment as she was a hard act to follow.
